Location

Amlwch is the northern most town in Wales and is situated on the northern coastline of Anglesey. At one time it was a booming mining town that became the centre of a vast global trade in copper ore, with the harbour inlet becoming a very busy port and significant shipbuilding and ship repair centre.

Those days have gone but can still be brought to life with a visit to the Copper Kingdom and a trip to Parys Mountain where the copper ore was once mined.

Mount View is ideally situated for both short and longer term breaks. Only a few minutes’ walk from the Coastal Path, Mount View is within walking distance of a couple of the town’s café’s, two pubs, and the local chippy!

Mount View is around 20 miles from the town of Holyhead, with its country parks, South Stack lighthouse & cliffs, and the RSPB reserve. Why not take a day trip to Ireland sailing from Holyhead Port?

This is a fantastic little site kept immaculately by Karl and Julie who make you feel very welcome.
A grass site with convenient water and electric hookup points.
Toilets and showers are kept very clean and there is always a plentiful supply of hot water.
Some lovely local walks and convenient access to the Anglesey coastal path.
we love this site, have stayed here previously and will do again

What a fabulous log cabin. Truly unique cabin with beautiful finishing touches, set in a lovely location, so cosy and picturesque.
Julie was a lovely and helpful host.
You can walk to a lovely cafe and chip shop and there's pubs to walk to too.
Nice walk to the sea.
The cabin has a decking area and private hot tub.
The pictures on Air bnb don't do it justice.
Can't wait to return.

Spent 8 nights on the site great location and great site with good showers, clean toilets.
Julie and Karl even booked me a Restaurant resevation for are Anniversary which was great. Fresh eggs on site which are amazing a must if you stay.
Nothing is to much trouble and both seem to love doing what they do and they do it well.
Looking forward to booking again in the near future.

Extra's

“Talk & Walk tours of Pary’s Mountain”

One of the towns biggest & most interesting attractions, Pary’s mountain.
During your stay at Mount View, would you like to find out about the history of Pary’s mountain, in its time the largest producing copper mine in the world, and its links with Amlwch port and the Town of Amlwch?
We are able to arrange “Talk & Walk” sessions with a very knowledgeable local man, Mr Len Jones, born and bred in Amlwch, who will come to the site, conduct a 30 – 40 minute talk about Pary’s mountain, the Port and the town, and then take you on a guided tour of Pary’s mountain, which normally takes about 2 to 3 hours.
He will be able to show you all the points of interest and explain to you what exactly you are looking at, and exactly what took place on the mountain.
The “Talk & Walk” session, along with transportation to and from Mount View to Pary’s mountain, is included in the charge of £10 per adult.
Make sure you bring suitable footwear for the walk, flip flops and trainers are not advisable.

“Log Burners”

We have a number of log burners and chimeneas that we are able to rent out to our visitors.
Keep the night going a little longer, having a beer or glass of wine, whether you are talking about the day you have just had or putting the world to rights, there is nothing better than doing it around an open fire.
We can provide a burner for the night, at a cost of £5, and then your fuel (logs, kindling & fire lighters) for an additional £5 per night.
Speak to Karl or Julie during your visit to Mount View if you want to rent one of the log burners.

"Fresh Eggs"

Do you like an egg for breakfast? Why not try some of our fresh free range eggs from our own flock of chickens. Subject to availability, but please ask Karl or Julie if you would like some.
